Starting from 2024, I have spent most of my time living in Danang. It’s a pretty large city in central Vietnam. It has everything you need for life: the sea, a comfortable climate, developed infrastructure, and friendly people.

However, despite all the positives of this place, I often felt lonely here and couldn’t fully feel like part of the local community. To overcome that, I began asking myself questions: What kind of people live in this city? What do they care about? Do they experience the same things I do?

And so the idea for the project “How are you, Danang?” was born. I invited participants to share in their own words their current feelings. To encourage openness, the survey was anonymous. At the end, I did a portrait of each person.

This project is about searching for points of connection, about trying to close the distance between us and feel a stronger bond with the place.
